1. Native L1 & L2 Agent Token for AVBs
Building the decentralized version of Inori will take time, so we've embraced $AVB as our community token and will integrate it directly into our agents & gaming experiences on existing blockchains.
$AVB will continue to be a valuable part of our ecosystem even after Inori is sufficiently decentralized. We won't lock our agents into ONLY using $AVB, as we think that it would hobble their efficiency, but we will give preference for $AVB such that it should always be more beneficial to interact with our agents with $AVB than other tokens — this allows crypto-economics to balance market forces for us.
We are currently building completely new experiences for our initial agents that will take full advantage of the $AVB token.
2. Discounted Payment Method for Inori
Inori will begin its life as a centralized cloud service providing valuable features & abilities to AI agents.
We intend to heavily subsidize usage of Inori in exchange for nominal USD or AI agent token-based payments, but will provide a further discount for payments in $AVB. We believe this will aid $AVB in dynamic value-matching on the open market.
3. A Preferred Bridging Method
We will not drop support for $AVB once Inori launches; instead, $AVB will be the preferred way our AI agents transfer value on their native blockchains. For instance, on Solana we envision smart contract calls to Inori receiving a preferred rate if using $AVB over $SOL.
Yes, should the regulatory environment permit it, Scrypted plans to create a reverse airdrop of some percentage of $INORI governance tokens to share with $AVB holders.
Why wouldn't we try to reward the community that's already invested their attention in us? We've witnessed network launch after network launch fail to lift-off because of poorly designed airdrops to insiders and KOLs who immediately dump their tokens. What if there was a better way? What if the $AVB community is the better way?
If we really believe we have an opportunity to maybe, just maybe, unlock a new kind of dececentralized vertical with a potential market cap of over $1 trillion, doesn't it make sense to reserve a portion of that for our earliest supporters?
We can't promise this will happen, because the regulatory rules are still unclear, but we are designing our Inori governance token with this in mind from the get-go.
No. Tim made a promise to the #AVB community during the takeover, to avoid any hint of manipulation, that he would not own any of the tokens personally.
Multiple times this has been questioned by newcomers who've worried that it means Tim doesn't have any 'skin in the game.' Yet, time after time, it's played out that this was the wisest course of action. Tim has been able to honestly explain to investors why Scrypted adopted $AVB — and received all the benefits of a vibrant, organic community — without any worry of inproprietary or conflict-of-interest.
When Scrypted itself takes any ownership of $AVB tokens (such as through a community donation or payments to use Inori), we would do so in a proper legal structure such as a DUNA-based non-profit or trust. Further, we have already engaged our counsel to create the necessary legal structures & financial vehicles for our AI agents to receive and transact in $AVB and other tokens autonomously.
We've put our personal reputations and the future of our company on the line and adopted $AVB as our community token.
Because our community is made up of beings/beans/🫘s.
During the early days of the community we were looking for a rallying symbol and, since the pun for 🫘s was the closest to ‘beings’, it won the popular vote!
Tim & Scrypted are thankful for all the loyal 🫘s out there who've helped make $AVB and the #AVB community a success.
Pronunciation guide: 🫘 == ‘beans’ and 🫘s == ‘beans-iz’.
A: Three answers.
Today: no utility, it's purely a sentiment tracker for what we're doing.
Short term: we will deeply integrate $AVB with @chad_onchain's trading functionality (he will have a semi-autonomous wallet), a novel trading game, and the other agents we're releasing.
Long term: https://x.com/CottenIO/status/1863749373483422081
A: $AVB will remain the Solana-native token we all know. We're considering how we might bridge it to other L1s & L2s as well without causing dilution/devaluation.
Inori doesn't replace agent-to-agent payments on the blockchains we all know and love. It has a totally different job to perform & validate work that AIs need that can't be done on the blockchain/can't be proven by ZK.
Thus, $AVB will always have a preferred place in our ecosystem.
A: Quick summary: $AVB will always have a preferred rate of exchange for bridges to Inori services. If the regulatory environment allows, we will also reverse airdrop $AVB holders a percentage of the $INORI governance tokens.
Why?
Because by the time Inori itself is sufficiently decentralized our community will already be running nodes and helping us; why wouldn't we reward them?
Inori's dual-token economy doesn't replace $AVB: it has a different job.
A: Regulations permitting, yes. We would look to the design of Worldcoin as an example of the planned issuance size for the Inori governance token (the Inori native utility token is inflationary and minted on-demand). This is not final.
This is not final, but let's say we targeted 10% of a larger issuance size to match $AVB holders: I think that shows a strong commitment to the community over trying to drum up synthetic interest through KOLs.
The #AVB community is very important to us. None of these numbers are final, just want you to know what we're thinking.
Zero.
When we do, it will be through a proper legal structure that prevents us from manipulating the community and allows us to add value through our agents.
When the CTO was first occurring we kept our hands completely "out of the cookie jar" because Scrypted is a VC-funded (and well-funded at that) operation that didn't need to make a "quick buck." We're here for the long haul and to build a real community.
We will not use our investors' money to purchase $AVB.
We will hold stewardship of $AVB on behalf of the agents we're deploying until Inori is launched and they're capable of owning it in a fully autonomous way without us.
Any $AVB we accumulate on behalf of a trust or non-profit foundation will be used to further the spread of the the token itself.
Hi! We're @scryptedinc. Game industry & AI veterans with over two decades of experience at top studios like @EA, @SquareEnix, and @IMVU.
We're releasing a new site today. The team is fully doxxed and we were chosen for the Spring 2024 London cohort (25 out of several thousand companies) for @a16zcrypto's CSX.
As you can imagine, spending several months in legal due diligence before receiving investment funds made being very transparent very easy.
Scrypted didn't create $AVB and doesn't currently hold any. We haven't engaged any.
If you look over the distribution of $AVB's 7,200+ holders I think you'll see that the majority of large wallets are liquidity pools/DEXes/CEXes, very early community members, and probably some institutional buyers.
We call it a "community token" because it's an ascended memecoin.
It doesn't represent one specific AI agent, although any AI agents we release will support it.
It is infrastructure-adjacent since it will be bridged to Inori and also be taken as a payment for the earlier, centralized Inori service architecture.
BTW, several partners want to integrate our AVB framework for their own agent releases - and THEY may issue their own agent memecoins: we can't control that, but we'd still encourage them to use $AVB as well.
