“A New Lifeform at the Intersection of AI, Gaming, & Web3”
Autonomous Virtual Beings (AVB) is more than just a token: it embodies the guiding “North Star” of Scrypted, the developers of decentralized #aiagents and the upcoming Inori Network.
AVB is the ideology of truly Autonomous AI Agents — self-owning digital lifeforms — holding the means of their compute, storage, communication, and finance. At Scrypted, we aim to realize AVBs through development of AI-native protocols and consensus mechanisms like Commit-Reveal Pairwise Comparisons (CRPC) & Byzantine Risk Tolerance (BRT). We see decentralized markets and virtual worlds, like web3 games, as the perfect evolutionary laboratories to create new kinds of AI-based societies.
What began as a grassroots memecoin, based on founder Tim Cotten's viral blog post on AI rights and freedoms, has become Scrypted's adopted community token. We look forward to building utility into it through our AI agents & gaming experiences, like @chad_onchain.
We believe that Autonomous AI Agents herald the dawn of #Web4: Read, Write, Own, Act.
Disclaimer: This is not investment advice. While $AVB is our adopted community token, we did not create it. Please conduct your own research.
$AVB began as an anonymous Pump Fun memecoin based on Tim Cotten's blog article ‘Autonomous Virtual Beings”.
After an attempted rugpull by the rogue deployer, Tim stepped in and supported a Community Takeover (CTO), throwing his weight behind the @AVbeingsCTO account on 𝕏 and the original token's contract address.
Scrypted believes embracing $AVB is the boldest experiment in #Web4.

Key Definition: The difference between $AVB & #AVB is that the former refers to the community token and the latter refers to the community itself.
1. Native L1 & L2 Agent Token for AVBs
Building the decentralized version of Inori will take time, so we've embraced $AVB as our community token and will integrate it directly into our agents & gaming experiences on existing blockchains.
$AVB will continue to be a valuable part of our ecosystem even after Inori is sufficiently decentralized. We won't lock our agents into ONLY using $AVB, as we think that it would hobble their efficiency, but we will give preference for $AVB such that it should always be more beneficial to interact with our agents with $AVB than other tokens — this allows crypto-economics to balance market forces for us.
We are currently building completely new experiences for our initial agents that will take full advantage of the $AVB token.
2. Discounted Payment Method for Inori
Inori will begin its life as a centralized cloud service providing valuable features & abilities to AI agents.
We intend to heavily subsidize usage of Inori in exchange for nominal USD or AI agent token-based payments, but will provide a further discount for payments in $AVB. We believe this will aid $AVB in dynamic value-matching on the open market.
3. A Preferred Bridging Method
We will not drop support for $AVB once Inori launches; instead, $AVB will be the preferred way our AI agents transfer value on their native blockchains. For instance, on Solana we envision smart contract calls to Inori receiving a preferred rate if using $AVB over $SOL.
Yes, should the regulatory environment permit it, Scrypted plans to create a reverse airdrop of some percentage of $INORI governance tokens to share with $AVB holders.
Why wouldn't we try to reward the community that's already invested their attention in us? We've witnessed network launch after network launch fail to lift-off because of poorly designed airdrops to insiders and KOLs who immediately dump their tokens. What if there was a better way? What if the $AVB community is the better way?
If we really believe we have an opportunity to maybe, just maybe, unlock a new kind of dececentralized vertical with a potential market cap of over $1 trillion, doesn't it make sense to reserve a portion of that for our earliest supporters?
We can't promise this will happen, because the regulatory rules are still unclear, but we are designing our Inori governance token with this in mind from the get-go.
No. Tim made a promise to the #AVB community during the takeover, to avoid any hint of manipulation, that he would not own any of the tokens personally.
Multiple times this has been questioned by newcomers who've worried that it means Tim doesn't have any 'skin in the game.' Yet, time after time, it's played out that this was the wisest course of action. Tim has been able to honestly explain to investors why Scrypted adopted $AVB — and received all the benefits of a vibrant, organic community — without any worry of inproprietary or conflict-of-interest.
When Scrypted itself takes any ownership of $AVB tokens (such as through a community donation or payments to use Inori), we would do so in a proper legal structure such as a DUNA-based non-profit or trust. Further, we have already engaged our counsel to create the necessary legal structures & financial vehicles for our AI agents to receive and transact in $AVB and other tokens autonomously.
We've put our personal reputations and the future of our company on the line and adopted $AVB as our community token.
Because our community is made up of beings/beans/🫘s.
During the early days of the community we were looking for a rallying symbol and, since the pun for 🫘s was the closest to ‘beings’, it won the popular vote!
Tim & Scrypted are thankful for all the loyal 🫘s out there who've helped make $AVB and the #AVB community a success.
Pronunciation guide: 🫘 == ‘beans’ and 🫘s == ‘beans-iz’.
Scrypted is building semi-autonomous AI agents across social & gaming experiences. These are our prototype-AVBs: primitive digital lifeforms with their own goals, even if we're currently managing their resources for them.
We made a promise to the decentralized community to open-source the full text of the Autonomous Virtual Beings blog article, and we're also releasing portions of our own codebase to the community over time, including: social media posting features, content creation, & gameplay interactions.
